My new book, entitled Naming Violence: A Critical Theory of Genocide, Torture, and Terrorism, is now forthcoming with Columbia University Press. It will appear in the New Directions in Critical Theory series. The book summarizes the findings of the JUDGEPOL project.
More information about the precise publication date as well as an event I hope to organize around the book shall follow soon.
We are currently hiring a PhD student to join the project. For more information on the application process, please go here.
Finally, the workshop videos are ready. You can find them here.
With the exception of small hiccups (in Carol Gould’s and Andy Schaap’s sessions), we managed to accurately record all the talks.

Together with Jamie Cross I have recently launched a new podcast series, entitled The Global Conversation. This is intended as a series of interviews with academics, activists and practitioners whose work is directly concerned with issues of global justice and international development. Our work is supported by a Knowledge Exchange Grant from the University of Edinburgh.
